TVXQ and T-ara top chart fr album and single

TVXQ and T-ARA have accomplished a ‘first’ on the Oricon Charts. It is the first time in the 42-year-long history of Oricon that South Korean artists have topped both the single and the album ranking in the same week.

T-ARA’s Japanese debut single, ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep‘, managed to move 50,000 units in its first week, allowing the group to become the first foreign group and first female artist(s) to place first on the weekly chart with their debut single. Jang Geun Suk was the only foreign artist before T-ARA to have accomplished this feat with his debut single, “Let Me Cry“, while popular girl groups KARA and SNSD / Shoujo Jidai debuted at fifth and fourth place respectively.

The girls of T-ARA thanked their fans and commented, “Thanks to everyone’s support we’ve reached first. We are very happy and will continue to work hard in order to earn the love of even more people. Please continue to support us.”

TVXQ’s latest album, ‘TONE‘, has also done exceptionally well by moving 205,000 copies in its first week. The last foreign male artist that sold 200,000 copies of an album during his first week was Bon Jovi with ‘Crash‘ back in 2000.

Yunho commented, “I’m really thankful to our fans. It makes me happy that our growth as a group seems to have reached our fans as well.”

Changmin added, “We wanted to create an album that is filled with our gratitude towards all of our fans who have been waiting for us. Please also look forward to our nation-wide tour next year!”

Tohoshinki doing so great in Japan now...The TONE albums sell really really well and also JYJ in Korea with their In heaven album....this makes me fell more at ease to see that they still in big success...Event though like that, i'm still sure..even JYJ or duo Tohoshinki can still the very best if 5 of them are together again!!!>.<...

ENJOY...AKTF
