In the past few weeks, the American news media has written countless articles on K-pop, demonstrating just how popular K-pop has become. The ‘NY Daily News‘ recently joined in the parade and shared their top five K-pop groups in an article entitled ‘Five must hear groups’.
The article praised five K-pop groups for their unique style, dancing and vocals. These five K-pop groups are, “TVXQ,” “Super Junior,” “Big Bang,” “2PM”, and the only female group, “2NE1“.
In the article, 2NE1 were praised for their fierce style and “girl power” songs. Super Junior were described as 12 good-looking guys with catchy songs and “slick dance moves”. 2PM was praised for their masculinity and Big Bang were regarded as “one of Asia’s most recognizable acts”. TVXQ were said to be a dynamic duo with “tight choreography and impressive pipes”.
